Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases, has an immediate openings for a Site Supervisor positions.

The Site Supervisor is responsible for all phases of operation for the Towanda, PA Prism Hydrogen Generator(PHG) and Galeton, PA GN-700 HPN. You will need to obtain an understanding of all facets of the sites’ responsibilities (plant operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and customer communications) with a specific focus on leadership and operating skills at this facility. The sites are operated and maintained by one person.

**We also have additional openings for Site Supervisors at both of our growing Cincinnati, OH locations**

A Generated Gases Site Supervisor must be self-motivated, safety conscious, a good communicator and possess good organization, operating, and mechanical skills.
 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Commitment to safety including Basic Safety Performance (BSP) compliance and process safety management.
  • Promotion and support of customer relations through effective communications.
  • Completion of all administrative responsibilities for the site.
  • Support all aspects of the day to day operation, including:
  • Troubleshooting plant process or mechanical problems, coordinating maintenance activities, driving plant efficiency and plant projects.
  • 24/7 on-call responsibilities for response to plant alarms and shutdowns.
  • Identifying maintenance concerns, developing and implementing corrective/preventive measures while working within planned maintenance budgets.
  • Working and communicating regularly and effectively with the North America Operating Service Center (OSC), asset manager, regional maintenance manager, tech support team, and PHG Operations Line Manager.

Candidates for this position will be evaluated on the following:

  • A track record of success in EH&S and Quality.
  • A self-starter with validated leadership abilities. Self-led and highly motivated to plan and ensure the completed execution of all tasks required by our safety, environmental and engineering standards.
  • Experience with operation of steam methane reformer (SMR) Hydrogen plants and/or Air Separation Units (ASUs) is a plus but not a specific requirement as training will be provided for the successful candidate.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently but equally able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated computer skills

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Two or four year degree in a technical field a plus, but not required.
  • 2 years of relevant operations experience is preferred.
  • Standout colleague that is flexible with a positive attitude.
  • Must be willing to work alone

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to climb ladders and steps and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Elevated work required.
